Privacy notice
Last updated: 21 October 2026
This notice explains what personal information we collect when you join the Rare Card Auction list, what we do with it and the choices you have. We've kept it as short and plain as we can.
Who we are
Rare Card Auction is a trading name of [legal owner: the partners' names, or the company name once registered]. We decide how your information is used, which makes us the "controller" under UK data protection law.
Contact us about anything in this notice at hello@rarecardauction.co.uk.
What we collect
When you sign up, we collect:
- your first name, mobile number and email address
- whether you agreed to reminders by email, by text or both, and when you agreed
- how you found the page, such as the social media post or advert you came from
If you claim your free gift, we'll also ask for your postal address. If you email or message us, we keep that conversation.
How we use it and why we're allowed to
| What we do | Our legal reason |
|---|---|
| Send you show reminders, first looks at headline cards and offers, by the channels you ticked | Your consent, which you can withdraw at any time |
| Send you the free gift you signed up for | To give you what we promised (contract) |
| Keep a record of when and how you agreed, and of anyone who has unsubscribed, so we never message them again | Our legal obligation to show consent, and our legitimate interest in respecting your choices |
| Understand which posts and adverts bring people to our list | Our legitimate interest in running our marketing sensibly |
| Reply when you contact us | Our legitimate interest in answering you |
We never sell your information, and we don't use it to make automated decisions about you.
Who we share it with
We only share your information with companies that help us run the list, and only so they can do that job for us:
- GoHighLevel (HighLevel Inc.), the system that stores our sign-up list and sends our emails and texts, along with the email and text delivery services it uses
- our website host, which runs this page
- a postal or courier service, to deliver your free gift
- people who help us run our marketing, working under contract and only on our instructions
We may also share information if the law requires it.
Information stored outside the UK
GoHighLevel is based in the United States, so your information is stored there. When information leaves the UK, we make sure it's protected by safeguards approved under UK law, such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum, or the UK-US data bridge where the provider is certified under it. Email us if you'd like more detail.
How long we keep it
- Sign-up details: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. If you haven't opened or replied to anything from us for 24 months, we'll delete them.
- Your postal address: deleted once your free gift has arrived and any query is settled, and within three months at most.
- Unsubscribe records: we keep just your email or number on a "do not contact" list, so we can make sure we never message you again.
Your choices and rights
You can stop our messages at any time by using the unsubscribe link in any email, replying STOP to any text, or emailing us.
You also have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the information we hold about you
- ask us to correct anything that's wrong
- ask us to delete your information
- object to, or ask us to limit, how we use it

Email hello@rarecardauction.co.uk to use any of these rights. We'll reply within one month.
